Through the impressive beech-fir forest of Irati we have selected the routes that allow us to see the forest from the mountains that surround them and then immerse ourselves in the green immensity. These are easy routes so you can enjoy this environment, and have different perspectives of the forest and its Pyrenean surroundings.

In Roncesvalles-Orreaga, where the Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María de Roncesvalles is located, and was one of the most important monasteries in Navarra since the early Middle Ages, it welcomes the pilgrims from Santiago after the hard stage crossing the Pyrenees, it housed a pilgrim hospital, and here rest the remains of Sancho VII the strong, king of Navarra at the end of the 12th century and beginning of the 13th century, we will take a route where we combine the beautiful stretch of the Camino de Santiago with different paths that bring us closer to knowing the Roman road and the place where the remains of a 4.5 hectare Roman city, probably Iturissa, are buried.
